Artist depiction MacDonough's Victory on Lake Champlain" presented in this aubergine transferware plate, from Shenango Pottery. White porcelain plate with an embossed border. This is #10 of a 12 plate series commissioned by the American Legion Auxiliary in the mid- to late-1930's. Plate measures 10 3/4" diameter and is excellent condition -- no cracks, chips, scratches, crazing.
