Item: Transfer-print porcelain plate, framed in a gorgeous ornate gilded wood frame! The plate artwork is characteristic of the late 19th-century Royal Vienna style, featuring a classical outdoor landscape scene of two women near a fountain.
The plate back mark is the green Elite Works, located in Limoges, France, also operating under the name of Bawo Dotter, a mark used circa 1900-1914.
The plate is set within a heavy, heavily scrolled, and pierced antique gold-gilt decorative wood frame designed for wall hanging or cabinet display. The outer band measures 1/2" thick, the interior band makes the frame overall about 2 1/2" thick.
Overall size is 17" diameter, 2 1/2" thick. Plate diameter is about 12 1/2."
Condition: Item is in good condition. Plate does not have any scratches, cracks, chips or repairs. The frame does not have any repairs, concerning areas. The photo shows some minor cracks, naturally occurring with age. All gold seems to be intact. -
