Frankoma is known for creating items reflecting the rich history of Oklahoma, where they were located. This terracotta clay trivet titled, "Seals of the Five Civilized Tribes of Indians In Oklahoma", features five round seals on the face of the trivet (representing the Chickasaw, Muskogee, Seminole, Choctaw, and Cherokee tribes).
"Frankoma" mark and OK3 is on the bottom.
This trivet is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. The seals are clear and well defined. Please view all of the pictures in close up mode to see the details of the design and the condition.

Frankoma Pottery was an American pottery company, based in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Known for for dinnerware, and other products including figurines, and vases. All Frankoma pottery was made in the Oklahoma from locally dug clay, first the local Ada clay from 1933-1936 in Norman, and then Sapulpa clay starting in 1938. The company was founded by John Frank, who had been a professor in ceramics at the University of Oklahoma (1927 to 1936), used light-hued local Ada clay in his initial products. The name Frankoma was created from Frank's last name and the last three letters of the state of Oklahoma. -
