Who doesn't love the sweetness of the Joan Walsh Anglund collection! As a pre-teen in the 70's, I was inspired by the writings and illustrations of Ms. Anglund! Offered in this listing is an adorable plate, commemorating AUGUST, to include in your wall grouping.
Ms. Anglund created this artwork featuring 2 "dot-eyed children'' enjoying rowing in the Nantucket boat. The caption reads, "August brings days of ease." A child is playing with the toy boat, as another human is fishing further down the beach. The thin black line edging nicely frames the artwork. Ready to hang on the wall.
Plate measures 7 3/4". Item is in great vintage condition -- no chips, cracks, marks, scratches. Back marks include: Joan Walsh Anglund trademark, Ebeling & Reuss (distributor), AUGUST, 1972 Wolfpit Enterprises, inc., For Decorative Use Only - not for food.
