Beautiful Victorian cabinet plate, depicting a maiden and a cherub artwork, created by Angelica Kauffmann. The plate art is framed with dart teal green border, detailed in gold with a white scalloped edge. Measures 9 3/4" and is in good antique condition -- No chips, cracks, nicks, major scratches, minimal wear on plate face and edge.
These cabinet plates were created by Victoria Carlsbad Austria (VCA), based on the distinctive turquoise/teal border and gold filigree patterns. Pieces with this style were most notably produced by companies such as VCA, also known as Schmidt & Co) between 1891 - 1918.
