Royal Worcester plate, depicting the likeness of Dr. John Wall (from a self-painted portrait), honoring the man who established the Worchester Royal Porcelain Works in 1751, and inventor of the "Tonquin Porcelain", specimens of which are featured works in museums around the world. The plate border is comprised of artist renditions of Worcester, England, and a grouping of pears. Edge is lined in mustard-yellow color, which nicely frames the predominately blue and white plate.
Condition: Plate is in good vintage condition -- no chips, cracks, crazing, stains. Minimal surface wear.
